Muesli Revival

I was recently reminded of a home made muesli recipe that I LOVE! It is tasty, crunchy and packed full of goodness :) So while at my weekly stop past the mall to get some jobs done I gathered all the ingredients and raced home to make muesli, all the while hoping that it would taste as good as I remembered (I had not had any in about 8 years and had never made it myself!)...

I combined all the ingredients... It looked pretty... so far so good :)

Oats, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, almonds, coconut... YUM!

Apricots, honey, vanilla, touch of sunflower oil, and a generous helping of cinamon...
Cooked it... it is an easy peasy cook in the microwave goodie :)

Ta-dah! It looks SOOOO pretty and colorful. I couldn't resist- I had some for lunch and it completely lived up to my expectations and past memories of yummy-ness :)

Combined with a a Saturday morning run and a dollop of home made yoghurt I am feeling very virtuous and wholesome indeed :)

Ballerina Ta-dah!

A long time ago I bought some yarn with the hopes of making a Ballerina Cardigan for Little S. I wanted to make something pretty and girly just for her. Celebrate the fact that she is a Gorgeous Little Girl with something pink :) I also wanted to venture out and try knitting some cable. It was fun, a bit time consuming, but the end result is worth it!

I think every girl needs a  Ballerina Cardigan with a puff sleeve... so sweet :) Makes me melt when I see her wearing it :)

I feel so happy to have been able to make something for Little S that is so pretty and that she is so totally in love with :) Bliss

P.S If you are keen to try your own here is the pattern that I used!

Pick me Up

Our wee family has been sucked into a pit of sickness of late- 8 weeks or so, not to be unexpected with three kiddies 3 and under but Sucky non the less. After Really not a lot of sleep in the past week (on top of Little L's regular insane nights) I truely was starting to feel INSANE! But today I finally caught a break, two in fact! (Actually three if you count the fact that no Little Rascally One threw up today!)  N out of the kindness of his heart took pity on me and took a sick day to help me with the Rascally Ones, which has been beyond amazing! And as if that wasn't enough a Care Package arrived from my Darling Sister :) Filled with both deliscious tasting and smelling treats! Oh my oh my!

Let me show you!

My heart leapt with each exciting item that I took out of the package! Chocolate, shower scrub, bath soak, kiwi hand and nail lotion, and the most fabulous lip balm!

The card alone was so happy and bright that I felt all glittery inside :)

And the Lip Balm! Not only does it smell divine (Lychee my favourite!), feel amazing, but just LOOK at the container! It is beautiful! I imagine that I will keep it long after the lip balm is all used up :)

Thank you N and Thank you Darling Sister.
I am lucky to have you both!

Zoo and Friends

After a self imposed vacation from 'blog land' due to being quite down/sick/tired/desperate and not wanting this to become a forum for whining, I am finally in a better head space and have something truly worth reporting. A Fun and Friends Filled Day at the Zoo :)

I am the luckiest person to have been blessed with the parents that I have. They support me endlessly, love my children dearly and I think really are an example of the Perfect Grandparents. And as a result of their goodness I had the rare opportunity to take Big L to the zoo by himself today to meet up with some Dear Friends.

I met my Dear Friend through a coffee group after Big L was born and Big L and her daughter became great friends from day one as did we :) They are only a few months apart and so together my Dear Friend and I laughed and cried together through the various stages they went through. We used to waddle around after Big L and E together when we were pregnant and again laughed and cried together as we experienced what it is like to be a mummy to more that one Little Rascal.

So today as the fog lifted from the zoo and a BEAUTIFUL day emerged my Dear Friend and her two Rascals felt like the prefect company to be spending our Zoo Day together with :) And with a little less crazy running around after Rascals than usual I even had time to take in some of the beautiful views. I love it when winter surprises you with a splash of soft colour :)

Once everyone had a sufficient run around we settled down to a picnic morning tea. We laid out a colourful picnic blanket and covered it with Delishious Goodness :) Fresh Scones with Jam (Jam made by My Parents Blackberry and Vanilla- YUM) and Cream. I adore seeing little plump hands enjoying morning tea, fingers covered with jam and cream, mouths busy and silent enjoying the delisious food :)

And the mummies even had a cup of coffee :) The food was great and made better only by the great company and a more relaxed chance than normal for chit chat and laughter.

I am so richly blessed
With Great Parents
With Great Kids
With Sunshine
And when I live far away from family, a Dear Friend.

End to Snaky Poo Envy

Since the arrival of Snaky Poo there has been a healthy amount of jealousy from Little L and Little S. So of course they needed their own Snakies :)

Now everyone has deliciously warm hands :)
